June 1st Means Summer Reading has Begun

There are quite a few new books out the shelves this week, the first unofficial week of summer. If I were you I would start with the must read Justified by Varina Denman, and then move on to Target Israel by Tim LaHaye & Ed HindsonĀ and remember coming up in the next two weeks is Empire’s End by Jerry B. Jenkins and Pirate Hunters by Robert Kunson.

I currently have a full slate of reading, I will be reviewing Judas the Apostle by Van R. Mayhall Jr., The Flower Brides by Grace Livingston Hill, Prayers for the Anxious Heart a Barbour Publishing Collection and I am Happy for You (Sort of…not really) by Kay Wills Wyma. So keep an eye out there are plenty of reviews on the way.

June 1st Get “Justified” by Verina Denman

I just finished “Justified” by Varina Denman and I really liked the book. This is the second book in her current series and I have now added Varina to my “must read” list of authors. I love how she moved seamlessly to this novel with her characters.

She builds some of the more secondary characters from her first novel “Jaded” and makes them the main focus of this novel. The story line continues and you really get to know both the good and bad points of the citizens of Trapp, Texas. I am also please to let you know that I did get the answer to my question of who is Clyde Felton’s child!

Varina does a nice job of sending a message without being preachy and conveying God’s love and forgiveness even when we are having trouble forgiving ourselves. I am also pleased to tell you that she has a third novel in this series coming out soon-I can’t wait!

This book was given to me in an EBook format from NetGalley for my honest review.
